Zera is the main antagonist of the made-for-TV Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film Half-Shell Heroes: Blast to the Past. She is a ruthless and deceitful Triceraton commander.
She was voiced by Kate Mulgrew.
Biography[]
She is first seen when Bebop and Rocksteady escape their cell. The Triceratons She commands prepare to kill them both until she commands Lieutenant Zorg to take them to her command center. However, Bebop tells her that Rocksteady is like a cousin to the Triceratons which led to them getting imprisoned once again as she tells them that The Ore of Time will empower her and the other Triceratons allowing them to travel any time period they want.
Later on, while the Turtles and their Dinosaurs charge towards the Triceraton base, she appears again telling Bebop and Rocksteady that they don't have a Com signal, She is then alerted that the Turtles as well as their Dinosaurs are coming so she orders the Triceratons to release the Robo-Spinosaurus. As the battle progresses, She witnesses after the Robo-Spinosaurus is defeated and her Triceratons get defeated by the Turtles, She threatens to kill Bebop and Rocksteady if they don't surrender.
As they surrender, They allow the Dinosaurs enough time to save them as well as letting them Super attack her. However, She quickly recovers from the grubble and commanded the Robo-Raptors to destroy them all. Meanwhile, Donatello tries to reprogram the Robo-Raptors, She tries to shoot and kill him only for Bebop to kick her weapon away.
Finally, the Robo-Raptors were successfully reprogrammed as they start chasing and attacking her as well as her Triceraton fleet. It was unknown what happened to her afterwards but it can be assumed that she was killed and eaten by them offscreen, as she was never seen again.
Trivia[]
- Zera is the first female Triceraton to ever appear in the franchise. However, there was a Triceraton female that was going to appear in volume 2 of Tales of the TMNT but the idea was scrapped, making her the only one thus far.
- Coincidentally, they both have a similar name with the one that was going to appear in Tales of TMNT being named Zura.
