Biography[]
Zero was hired by the Adjudicator on behalf of the High Table to kill John Wick and anyone who helped him, first he goes to the Ruska Roma to punish the Director for helping John to escape to Casablanca, here Zero and his students easily dispatch the Director's guards. The adjudicator arrives and demands for the Director to reaffirm her loyalty to the High Table and orders that she must pay with blood, the Director hold out her hands and Zero stabs her hands with his Katana.
The next objective is the Bowery King, in The Soup Kitchen Zero also dipatchs without much effort all the men and goes to the rooftop, The Adjudicator then tells to the Bowery King that for the seven bullets he gave to John to aid him in killing Santino D'Antonio, the Bowery King will receive seven cuts, which are carried out by Zero with his sword.
After John returned from his meeting with the Elder, Zero and his students confronted John Wick and tried to kill him, but John fought them off and fled to the Continental. Zero pursued him there but before he could kill him he was stopped by Charon, who informed him that no business was to take place on Continental grounds.
John then went inside to meet with Winston and sat down on a couch while waiting for Charon to go and get him. Zero attempted to sit down next to John but John moved to a chair to get away from him. Zero then told John Wick that he was a big fan of his "work" and that they were both the same as "masters of death", but John rebuked the latter part.
Later, after Winston refused to step down as manager of the Continental and John Wick agreed to defend him, Zero was instructed by the Adjudicator to kill both of them and given an army of highly-trained mercenaries to assist in the task. However, John managed to fight through Zero's men and two of his top students, the Shinobi, before facing off with Zero himself. After an intense duel between the two, John defeated Zero by ramming him through the chest with a katana.
As the two lay exhausted, Zero complimented John on his skills and stated it was an honor to fight him, to which John agrees that it was a good fight. As John gets up and walks away Zero attempts to do so too only to instead slump over and die.
