| “ | After a millennia, my father was finally offering me a place in the family by his side. But all I could think about was how he punished humans for every little thing... with earthquakes, fires, floods. My family were the real monsters, and I didn't want to be like them. Driven by ego, dominance, and a need to be both loved and feared, Ken treats his children; Ben (Prometheus) and Jen (Vulcan), with cold manipulation and cruelty
Biography[]
Origins[]
The gods were happy once, except Zeus. His insatiable desire for conquest led him to find new places where he could be feared and loved. When the gods crossed into "Valhalla" to Earth, the wars intensified and more and more humans started arriving in Limbo. Eventually, his sister Lynn/Charon found a mother and child who had died for no reason, and she ferry them across to Peace. When Zeus found out, he cursed her to do this for all eternity to never return home.
There was a time where Zeus and the Furies worked in harmony, but he killed them when they stopped being collaborative with him. Eventually, the Gods began living atop a high mountain of a village, which had a threshold beyond which mortals could not pass.
At some point, Zeus had a daughter known as Vulcan, and a son named Prometheus with a mortal woman. Years later, Prometheus cried out to Zeus for the first time for his help as his lover Ash was dying, but the god never came. So Prometheus claimed his birthright; Godly Magic. Actually, he stole it, hoping to save Ash's life. But it was too late. When Prometheus returned with the fire Earth would come to know as magic, he gave it to his village. But the humans didn't want to stop worshipping the gods, they wanted to be them. And in their lust for that power, monsters were born along with many of the world's ills. So Zeus punished Prometheus by chaining him to a rock so monsters could eat his liver, and cursed him to heal by sunrise so he could feel that same pain again the next day, forever.
His daughter Vulcan was an artist in a family of warriors, and Zeus hated her for that. However, he demanded her make weapons for the gods, but she offered to make armor to protect them instead. So he cast her out and said her wasn't one of them because she had the heart of a coward. So she began working in a cave alone. One day, Zeus came to see her because of Malivore; a creature that could make the world forget you ever existed. So Vulcan made the god's sarcophaguses, so her family would be spelled to sleep until Malivore was destroyed and, as an incentive, Zeus promised a "boon" to whoever defeated Malivore and woke they up. However, Vulcan lied and locked all of them, since the spell to wake the Gods never existed.
Season 4[]
Ken awakens in Season 4 and wages war on the supernatural world with the aid of Aurora de Martel, in a campaign to eliminate Hope Mikaelson, the world's only tribrid (witch‑werewolf‑vampire), who he sees as the only rival to his title as the most powerful being. Forced to serve Ken, Jen forged a lethal God Spear crafted from red oak ash and divine magic. Ken unleashes chaos in Salvatore School by triggering the werewolf curse among students, causing mass transformations. He also changes his son Ben’s curse so that he becomes a mortal human being and is susceptible to dying.
MG and Kaleb Hawkins were killed in chaos and Alaric was forced to kill Jed in defense. Lizzie channeled Ken's powers through siphoning to weaken him. Hope attacked but was eventually overpowered. Following Hope's strike, Cleo (as a Fury) holds the God Spear while Ken was impaled upon it. His divine physiology couldn't withstand the spear's magic and he finally dies. With Ken's death, his son Ben becomes an Immortal demigod once again, and the surviving gods retreat or remain imprisoned.

Although Zeus has hinted to being able to restore the dead to life at will without the use of a “Boon”, as he stated to Aurora De Martel he could bring her brother Tristan back to life, but chose not to; as he did not believe Tristan was worthy of living again due to the life Tristan lead.
