Zhuque, also known as Suzaku, is a supporting antagonist in the manga Record of Ragnarok Forbidden Legend - Apocalypse of The Gods, a spin-off of the manga/anime series Record of Ragnarok.
Zhuque is a Deity belonging to the Chinese Pantheon and the Leader of the Four Symbols, a group composed of four Deities who each represent an animal from the Chinese constellations. He is also one of the 16 Gods who participate in the Apocalypse Tournament to win the last place in the Gods Fighters of the Ragnarok Tournament and the possibility of creating a new law in the Constitution of Valhalla.
Appearance[]
Zhuque is a humanoid-looking Deity, with long, unkempt hair that reaches down to his shoulders and touches them. He wears a long jacket with a high collar over a long-sleeved t-shirt and has a ring on his left index finger with a vermilion bird, the symbol that represents him, drawn on it. He also wears jeans held up by a belt and moccasins.
Personality[]
Zhuque is a very attentive Deity, who notices certain details before others, especially during a fight. He can also be dubious about some strategies, and he is surprised when someone makes a move that he wasn't expecting at all. As a Deity, however, Zhuque tends to underestimate some scenarios. Compared to the rest of the Gods, Zhuque appears to rather have respect for Cú Chulainn, not insulting him or mocking the boy in the slightest, despite his hybrid lineage. He even recognises the Celt's prowess and talent, and getting impressed by him.
Zhuque is highly intelligent, capable of spotting crucial factors that can lead to advantages, such as correcting his three companions about the true reason Cú Chulainn won. He also happens to be more courages and cooler than them, as he remained unfazed by Morrígan's crushing presence, which intimidated Baihu, much likely because Zhuque is much stronger than them. However, Zhuque possess a more malicious and battle-lusted side, as shown by how amused he was by the aftermath of the first match of the Apocalypse Tournament.
Biography[]
Zhuque is a Deity belonging to the Chinese Pantheon and the leader of the group of four Deities called Four Symbols.
After the proclamation of the Ragnarok Tournament, Zhuque participates in the meeting of the Gods' Council in which Zeus announces the Gods Fighters that would fight in the Ragnarok Tournament representing the Gods. When many Gods become angry at the absence of their names, Sun Wukong points out that one name is missing from the list, and it is at that point that Zeus announces the Apocalypse Tournament between 16 Gods to win the last place in the Gods Fighters and the possibility of inserting a new law into the Constitution of Valhalla.
Zhuque also participates, and his opponent in the Round of 16 will be Indra. While waiting for his match, Zhuque witnesses the battle between Cú Chulainn and Ra-Horakhty, which ends with Cú Chulainn's victory, together with his three companions. Zhuque immediately understands why Cú Chulainn managed to win, and for this he is complimented by Morrígan, who reaches him revealing that she intends to kill Cú Chulainn, even outside the Apocalypse Tournament if necessary, and that if a way is not found to counteract the Gáe Bolg Cú Chulainn will win the Tournament.
Powers and Abilities[]
Overall Abilities: As a God, Zhuque possesses physical abilities far superior to those of any ordinary Human. His body cannot be damaged by mortal weapons, however it can still be damaged by unarmed attacks from individuals with superhuman strength and Divine Weapons. For the same reason, Zhuque is unable to die due to old age. Zhuque is the only one of the Four Symbols to have been only minimally affected by the crushing presence of Morrígan, considered the strongest Goddess.
