Zodiac is the true leader of the Crown organization and the main antagonist of Shichisei Toshin Guyferd. He is a mysterious being who desires to use the Fallah mutagenic to forcibly transform humankind to suit his view of superior beings and rule over them as a god. He is the archenemy of the protagonist Gou Kazama/Guyferd.
He is voiced by the late Shozo Iizuka, who also voiced Doruge, Hakaider, Emperor Banba, Golden Mask, Satan Egos, Führer Hell Saturn, Demon King Psycho and Org Ninja Dokusai. He is physically portrayed by Tenmei Basara.

Background[]
Zodiac was originally the head of a research team that first discovered Fallah on an expedition in Peru. Zodiac soon became obsessed with the transformative properties of Fallah and used it to kill off the rest of the research team before going on to found Crown to realize his ambition of evolving humanity into a species for him to rule over as god.
The Fall of Mutian Lab[]
After Mister Bicross was defeated by Guyferd in battle and Megumi Shion went to analyze his damaged chest plate, Zodiac spoke to her through it and revealed himself as the true leader of Crown. While Bicross was fighting Guyferd for a second time, Zodiac gave her special instructions to set Crown's Mutian Lab to explode and flee with the research data that had been collected. When Shion was injured in the process, Zodiac had her rebuilt as a cyborg.

Zodiac and his right-hand man Metal Master would soon begin using the research Shion had collected to produce the Metalferds, Guyborgs that had been successfully infused with Fallah energy. He also had Shion bring Gou to their lair, where Zodiac attempted to convince him to join Crown. Gou refused, at which point Metal Master had Dragos attack him, but Zodiac decided to let Gou escape, believing he would be swayed to their side if given time to contemplate.
Zodiac later sent Metal Master and Shion to obtain a substance called Astronium, and arranged for Shion's death in the operation so her brain could be used to power a computer system developed by Crown for the purpose of spreading Fallah all across the Earth. Zodiac intended to use the computer to forcibly mutate humankind with Fallah, transforming them into ideal subjects for him to rule over. However, the operation was thwarted when Shion had a change of heart and dropped the shields around the system to allow Guyferd to destroy it.
Operation Gaia[]
However, this did little to halt Zodiac's ambitions as he already had a much grander plan in motion, Operation Gaia. The first step of this plan came to be realized when Zodiac obtained the Tablet of Daruga and used it to upgrade the Metalferds into Gaia Soldiers. Zodiac and his researcher Kuzan would then begin to complete the Gaia Net so Zodiac could use it to completely wipe out humanity via a laser storm and repopulate the planet with his superior beings. Zodiac sent out the Gaia Soldiers to obtain the three artifacts needed to form the Gaia Net. Zodiac was successful in obtaining the first two artifacts, the Divine Mirror and the Seven Star Sword, but his plan became complicated when the third artifact, the Dragon Crystal, fused with Gou Kazama. However, after Gou used up part of his ki to heal Rei, Zodiac was able to personally capture Gou while using his final Gaia Soldier Valcanon to hold off Deathferd.

Zodiac then brought Gou back to his lair in Mount Fuji, where he and Kuzan hooked Gou up to a device to use the Dragon Crystal to complete the Gaia Net, creating a dark storm cloud that expanded as the Gaia Net continued to power up. However, Dr. Shiroishi was able to pinpoint Crown's headquarters as being in Mt. Fuji and went there with Rei, Yuu, Masato and Detective Nakano to rescue Gou. Zodiac then went outside himself to confront them, leading Masato to stay behind and become Deathferd to hold Zodiac off while the others rescued Gou. Zodiac managed to beat down Deathferd until Gou was rescued and became Guyferd to assist his brother. Together, the two brothers were able to defeat Zodiac and strike him down. Before exploding, Zodiac declared that the Gaia Net was still in motion and the world would soon be destroyed.

Misa Sudo: Right after that, while trying to get some results, all the researchers were attacked. After that, all the research about Zodiac was stopped, and all those who continued we're killed. All the completed research was hidden somewhere. Those who couldn't be silenced, like us, are still trying to find the truth about the Fallah, and also find out what is Zodiac. That's when we found evidence about something called... Crown. |
