Zoe Fossey is a supporting antagonist in the Rizzoli & Isles novel "Vanish". Fossey is a Channel Six News anchor who aggressively tries to cover Detective Jane Rizzoli being trapped in a hostage situation while expecting her baby, which puts her in grave danger.
Biography[]
Fossey was one of the more ignored anchors Boston PD refused to deal with. So when an attempted murder victim lived, but she was classified dead and had to be removed from the morgue freezer when revealed alive, she was one of the anchors inquiring blame. She protested when Peter Lukas was welcomed in for an interview by the Boston M.E.'s office, but she still wasn't let inside. The police did the best they could to prevent her name from being leaked publicly to not set off the hostage-takers, as everyone feared she'd be killed, their fears were confirmed when Fossey's channel got her name. Miraculously, the hostage takers instead depended on her listening to their accounts, but that didn't stop her husband, Agent Gabriel Dean, from confronting her and barreling into her cameraman. She simply was concerned if the assault was captured on tape. It's unknown what happened to her after that.
