Zombayu is a minor antagonist in Ultraman Dyna, serving as the main antagonist of the 17th episode, The Ghost Space Ship.
History[]
Zomabayu was a feared space kaiju who had haunted the universe for a millennia consuming the souls of countless inhabitants from different planets he deemed beautiful. Among its victims were an alien race known as the Shilback aliens that were flying in a spaceship. Upon encountering them, he consumed on the souls of all of them except for the captain whom he simply just killed before later fusing with the ship itself.
Having fused with the Shilback aliens’ ship, Zombayu later made its way to Earth and began traveling to different cities, consuming souls of several humans, including Super GUTS member Ryo Yumimura. Soon Zombayu was later greeted by the rest of Super GUTS who blew a whole inside of him, allowing Shin Asuka and Kouda to go inside and confront him . However, upon encountering the corpse of the dead captain, Zombayu then took possession of it and began attacking the two. Once Asuka and Kouda’s barriers went out, he took advantage of this and shot a beam at the latter. Before Asuka could pass out, he managed to transform into Dyna just in time, vaporising the captain with his hand slash, grabbing Kouda and escaping via his teleportation before the spaceship could crash, resulting in Zombayu revealing that he had fused with it.
Using its mirage copying ability, Zombayu managed to force Dyna into transforming into his Miracle Type form. When the monster began using its control beams, Dyna was then forced to transform back into his Flash type form. Zombayu responded to this by absorbing the plasma from his legs and carrying him into space. However before it could kill Dyna, the Giant ultimately defeated the monster with his Solgent Energy Ball, freeing the souls and bringing them back to their corresponding hosts.
