| ~ Tennis Ball recalling how Barf Bag started the Zombie Outbreak |
The Zombies are the main antagonists of the Battle for Dream Island episode, ''Outbreak At Stake''.
They are zombified variants of existing characters, which started with Golf Ball using radioactive barf to make Barf Bag no longer unconscious, only to accidentally turn her into a zombie and caused the titular zombie outbreak, causing many of the contestants and failed debuters to fall victim to the undead.
They were voiced by Braden Whiteside.
Biography[]
In the opening of the episode, a zombified Barf Bag is seen trying to break into the hotel, with Pin trying to prevent her from breaking in.
A flashback later shows that Barf Bag has lost barf from the events of the previous episode. Golf Ball then says that the only source of vomit is from Rocky (whom was eliminated) and the volcano that he barfed on, which caused it to be radioactive. With Black Hole advising Golf Ball not to kill and revive her, Golf Ball then proceeds to put radioactive barf into Barf Bag, turning her into a zombie. Barf Bag later bites Pen's arm which got him infected as well. Are You Okay? and Team8s then goes to the hotel to escape from the zombies.
During the Cake at Stake, with the zombies trying to break into the hotel, Two makes the prize wooden slabs and nails to block the zombies from entering. When Puffball gets eliminated, she is proud towards Golf Ball for understanding her value, but before she can finish her sentence, Pen proceeds to bite on her, which gets her infected. After Eraser kicks them both, Golf Ball then swears to avenge Puffball.
When Two starts the Team8s elimination, Anchor begs to let him in into the hotel. After his elimination, before Coiny decides to let Anchor in, Barf Bag infects Coiny. After this, Tennis Ball instructs his team to go upstairs to hide from the invasion. Later in the episode, Barf Bag infects Two.
Zombies on the scene
The Team8s then combat and hide from the zombies. When they hide in the sewer, Puffball destroys the stairs and makes them fall into the water and proceeds to chase them. Following The S! hiding from the zombies by using Cloudy's Collection, The Strongest Team On Earth, trying to escape the zombies, was slowing down because of Snowball's weight. Bell then declares that Snowball can't be bitten by the zombies. After he got down, Snowball later gets ripped in half, with Rubber Spatula using the Recovery Center to revive Snowball so they can infect him.
Are You Okay? then escapes the lab room to escape an infected Two, only for more zombies to show up. Golf Ball and Tennis Ball hide in the lab. Which leaves Eraser, Teardrop, and TV around the zombies. TV suggests to combat the zombies, which they proceed to do. TV later sacrifices himself to let Eraser and Teardrop escape, before Pen kills him by using Snare Drum. After Teardrop saves Eraser from falling off the vent, Pen bites him and becomes infected, with more zombies chasing Teardrop.
When Black Hole wants to use Cloudy's Collection to block the zombies from infecting Tree, Yellow Face declines by thinking that his team is going to die. Bottle then suggests to use cold steaks to lure the zombies away from them. When The Strongest Team On Earth gets chased by the zombies, Avocado and Battery later use Snowball and roll him into the snow to make him bigger. Robot Flower later joins the zombies and helps them.
When Black Hole takes the rest of Cloudy's Collection, The S! is now defenseless with only one steak left. When Yellow Face suggests which member should sacrifice themselves, Ice Cube quickly doesn't want to be involved, but is pushed anyways. Ice Cube crashes into a bush and gets infected by the zombies. Needle, Pin, and Donut try to escape into Gelatin's Steakhouse, with Price Tag explaining about. Before they could escape, Income Tax Return Document tries to infect Donut but instead gets ripped in half. After this, Puffball and other zombies then chase Pin and Needle. When Black Hole uses Cloudy's Collection to prevent the zombies to infect tree, they swim under it. Black Hole later puts his collection in the dirt, but they climb on it. Black Hole later orders Marker to dig to deflect the zombies.
Teardrop then gets surrounded by zombies, she decides to escape from the vent. While she is escaping, Golf Ball and Tennis Ball are trying to figure out how to revert the zombies back to normal by testing it on Pen's cap. When Teardrop escapes, she falls into Barf Bag, which reverts her back to normal. Golf Ball and Tennis Ball suggest that barf can be use to turn the zombies back to normal, so after use barf from Barf Bag again, Golf Ball declares there is not enough liquid. Teardrop later sacrifices herself to get into Barf Bag, but before Golf Ball and Tennis Ball can use the barf, Two captures them.
After the Team8s and The Strongest Team On Earth escapes the zombies, they meet up with Death P.A.C.T. Again. The zombies later use Snowball as a weapon and it lashes on into Tree and later the hotel, which causes the jar of barf to fall out. Yellow Face then drinks the barf only for him to spit it out. He later throws it into Conch Shell, which reverts him to normal. Bottle later uses the barf to mix with steaks. Later, when Pin tries to escape, Coiny tries to catch up to her. Pin later uses the infected Coiny to dig her way through out of underground, which kills him, much to Black Hole's shock. Bottle later uses the steaks to revert the remaining zombies back to normal.
Trivia[]
- One of the recommended characters in the first season of the show is a David (A species of Stick Figure) simply known as "Zombie". However, they do not play an antagonistic role in any episodes and exist purely as a background character.
- Nonexisty and Camera the only failed TPOT debuters to not be shown as a zombie onscreen, though it's unknown if Camera had survived the outbreak or joined the undead.
- Bell states that zombie Nonexisty may be pulling her down, however, since Nonexisty does not have a physical form, he can't possibly be a zombie.
- The zombies are shown to be somewhat intelligent. As they killed Snowball and recovered him in order to turn him since they couldn't infect his Yoyle Metal body. They also started to roll him in the snow in order to make him bigger.
- Two is the only zombie that wasn't hostile, as they didn't turn those they caught into other zombies. Rather they sent them to the elimination area, and was unaware of even doing so. Additionally, they seem to be the only zombie that was able to speak.
