The Zombies are minor antagonists in the movie V/H/S/2, serving as the main antagonistic faction of the sketch "A Ride in the Park".

History

At a local park, a man named Mike goes riding on his bicycle with a camera attached to his helmet and cycles until he's stopped by an injured woman who's being followed by Zombies. Mike tries telling the woman they have to leave quickly, but she suddenly bites Mike on his throat and he's forced to beat her to death with a rock. Mike turns and is found by a couple who attempts to help him, but he awakens and infects both of them. Mike and the infected couple stumble across a birthday party along with several other zombies and infect several people.

The zombified Mike chases a family into their car as the other zombies attack people. When Mike tries to attack the family in the car, he sees his reflection, and he stops attacking. Then his phone begins to ring and he hears his girlfriend’s voice. Snapping back to his senses and horrified when he realizes what he's become, he starts sobbing as he grabs the nearby shotgun and shoots his own head off, sending his camera flying into the air.

Trivia

• At least four zombies are killed during the sketch, though the zombies themselves kill ten people.
• It is not very clear how are the effects of the virus on these zombies, since when Mike saw his reflection, he returned to his previous senses, this may be a cure or perhaps the zombies were not dead at all and could return to their normal senses before turning if their reflections were seen. However, it is not clear if this was only the case with Mike and the other zombies were not.
