Biography[]
Past[]
The nameless male Zoner was a criminal sentenced to the Phantom Zone for an unspecified crime. The female Zoner was named Kamira and she too was sentenced for an unknown crime into the prison dimension. After the Kandorians sent him to the Phantom Zone, Zod's clone came face-to-face with his original self's phantom and the two merged into one being.
Zod then made a deal with Darkseid; he would have dominion over the Zone and have his revenge in exchange for trapping Clark Kent. Kamira and the male Zoner served Zod as his servants and were always by his side, guarding him.
Dominion[]
When Kal-El and Oliver Queen went into the Phantom Zone to investigate Slade Wilson's release, they were captured by the Zoner Companions and taken to their leader; a hooded figure who sat on a throne with a large yellow snake around him. He stood and reveals himself to be Zod, and forced the two to kneel. The Zoner Companions took Oliver away while Zod and Clark speak alone.
After talking for sometime, the Zoners escort Clark to a gladiatorial arena where two men were fighting while Oliver was in a cage. He tells Clark that they want them to fight to the death. Zod watched from his throne above the pit where Kamira and the male Zoner stood by his side.
After the fight, Zod had the Zoners bring Oliver to him for a private meeting. He taunts him, saying that it must be hard working with someone who has the power of a god. Oliver countered that he should send his minions away so they could have a proper banter.
Zod then dismissed the Zoners who left their master. Zod offered Oliver the chance to rule with him in exchange for killing Clark. Oliver was somewhat seduced by the idea and fought with him in an arena. Both were dressed in gladiatorial armor. Oliver brutally attacks Clark, who after hesitating, finally fought back.
He lunges at Oliver, who stabbed him once more but as he prepares to deliver the final blow, Zod ordered him to stop. Zod steps down from his throne, welcomes Oliver as his brother-in-arms and drew his sword. He tells Oliver that he (Zod) will be the one to kill Clark, as he raises his sword. Oliver stopped him while Clark grabs the crystal from Zod and shoves him down. The Zoner Companions rush to their master's side.
This opened a portal back to Earth, where the shining yellow sun heals Clark's wounds. Clark told Zod that he has no more second chances. Clark enters the portal with Oliver and destroys the crystal, trapping Zod and his minions once and for all in a rotating pane of glass that spun in space.
