Zstylzhemghi, also known the Matriarch of the Swarm, is a Great Old One created by Clark Ashton Smith. She first appeared in Selected Letters of Clark Ashton Smith 189.
Overview[]
Zstylzhemghi was born on the green binary star system of Xoth, who mated with fellow Great Old One Ghisguth, and produced the infamous Tsathoggua. However, she fled Xoth in order to escape from her father-in-law, the cannabalistic Outer God Cxaxukluth.
She is often described as a monstrous insectoid creature. However, like most Lovecraftian beings, her true form would incomprehensible for humans.
She is worshipped by the insects from Shaggai.
