Zyuoh (ジュウオウ Jūō, 3-48) is a supporting antagonist of Choudenshi Bioman. He is a gorilla-like Beastnoid of Neo Empire Gear, working alongside Doctor Man and the Big Three; He is a good friend and a partner of Monster.

He was voiced by Masahiro Anzai.

Biography

Prehistory

Zyuoh was created by Dr. Man along with the evil scientist's other minions, before the events of the series. Dr. Man created Zyuoh in the image of his partner Monster.

Choudenshi Bioman

Zyuoh is a gorilla-like robot, created by Dr. Man. He generally worked along with Monster, being very similar to his partner, due to being a dim-witted brute armed with a mace and able to use his finger cannons in battle. As a result, Zyuoh was completely and undeniably loyal to Monster to the point of coming to the aid of his master; even when Monster didn't use Zyuoh as his partner during a mission tasked by Dr. Man to him, Zyuoh likewise frequently led the five Beastnoids whenever they fought together as a five-man squadron.

Throughout the season, Zyuoh worked alongside Monster and together the Neo Empire trued and created multiple schemes and plans of destroying the Flashman and taking over the Earth. However, most of their plans were foiled by the multi-colored heroes and villains were rarely successful. Zyuoh alongside Monster were often treated by their master like a punching bag and electrocuted.

Later in the season, during the arrival of a strange meteor to Earth that interfered with Bioman's Super-Electron Brains, Zyuoh worked with the other four Beastnoids accrding to their plan to crush Bioman in their hour of weakness. However, Doctor Man decided to weed out weaker Beastnoids by using his new weapon, the Neo Mecha-Gigan Metal Megas, to attack both the Beastnoids and Bioman in order to see who would survive while trying to crush his enemies. Zyuoh appeared to initially survive the attack but was weakened to the point that he didn't make it back to Neograd alongside Psygorn and Mettzler and thus didn't receive the Miracle GX upgrade they receive. However, due to Monster's devotion to his partner, he collected all of his destroyed pieces and pleaded with Doctor Man to bring him back, with the scientist ultimately obliging and upgrading him and Monster for their devotion.

During the scramble by Gear to try and seize control of the Anti-Bio mecha Balzion ahead of both Bioman and Bio Hunter Silva, Zyuoh assisted Monster in utilizing Super Megas to capture the alien weapon for Doctor Man. At the end of this battle, the Bioman utilized Super Electron on the robot, finally wearing him down to the point of explosion. Upset by the loss of his partner, Monster carries Zyuoh's head into his final battle in Super Megas before he too was ultimately destroyed after the mecha is defeated by Bio Robo.

Personality

Zyuoh wasn't truly evil individual but he was shown to be loyal to Dr. Man and Monster and was shown to be a good friends to the latter. Zyuoh was also highly mischievous and trixie creature, often making dumb jokes and behaving ridiculously. He resembled his oartner very much, being an arrogant and powerful brute with enormous physical strength, but at the same time being extremely dimwitted and being able to make very few smart decisions. Just like Monster, Zyuoh wasn't a good strategist and relied mostly on his physical strength and fighting prowess in battle and rarely on his wits. Zyuoh also demonstrated a bit sadistic side, enjoying causing havoc and chaos on Earth in various cities, and enjoying antagozing and trying to kill the Bioman.

However, despite being a villain, Zyuoh, just like Monster, possessed multiple redeeming qualities and served, overall, like a comic relief of the series, not posing much of a threat for the Bioman and serving more like a dimwitted lackeys for Dr. Man and Mason. Zyuoh was an extremely clumsy, comedic and humorous and overall, wasn't a purely evil being, but rather a misguided and dimwitted partner and friend of Monster.

Powers and Abilities

Zyuoh possesses multiple supernatural powers and abilities granted to him by his master and creator Doctor Man.

• Superhuman Strength: Just like his partner Monster, Zyuoh is an extremely strong, being able to match Bioman in combat and even overpower and best them, but he can be overpowered by the heroes by using their weapons.

• Superhuman Durability: Zyuoh is an extremely durable and is able to withstand and survive multiple hits from the Bioman and their weapons. However, he is still vulnerable to their powerful weapons and can be wounded and damaged.
• Superhuman Stamina: He is also more powerful in the terms of stamina than ordinary human and is able to spend time in battle for multiple hours.
• Energy Blasts: Zyuoh also can project a powerful energy blasts at his enemies in the battle.
• Fighting Skills: He is also a highly capable fighter, combining his strength with his combat skills in the fight.

Trivia

• In the English adaptation of the series, Zyuoh's name was changed to "Zeroid."
